Stereotypes

Image
Luigi is often seen as the cowardly brother to the straight man that is Mario. While this has been his main interpretation since 2001 with Luigi's Mansion, he has shown time and time again when he needs to step up, he will do so bravely to the best of his ability. Because of this, Luigi has the trope of The So-Called Coward. Unwilling to engage in fights unless his community or friends are in danger. I find that the deliberate choice to make Luigi a coward to better differentiate him from his brother is what makes him for many more endearing for people as he has more character.  I decided to make Luigi worse. I made him the stereotypical 80s macho man. Buff, tanned, muscular.  I gave Luigi a toned and muscular body with a TRAPAZOID body shape to show toned physique. He's got that tan that body builders have.
